[Resolved]  LG India Ltd — Defective product

I purchased a LG Refrigerator Model no GC – B207GLQV, on 23/12/14 from CAMS CORNER, LG shoppe at Camac Street Kolkata . The serial no of the same is 410TRMF09451. Right from day 1, there are water droplets formation inside the machine in all places. We lodged complaint with the LG India and their engineers kept visiting us . The Dates of complains were 4th April’15, 17th April’15, 6th May’15, 7th July’15, 20th Aug’15, 24th Aug’15 . The complaint nos are 1. RNA[protected], 2. RNA[protected], RNA[protected]. LG’s service technician Mr Arijit Nag along with Service Incharge Ms Neha Chakroborty visited accordingly and checked the machine, but could not rectify the problem . We have again lodged complaints and spoke to the Service Manager, Mr Gaurav Priyadarshi, nothing has come positive to this problem . The reasons they have cited are as follows: a) There is too much humidity in Kolkata b) Refrigerator should not be kept inside the Kitchen c) No bottle containing liquid should be kept on top of the fridge, d) Fridge should not be opened frequently . The above mentioned reasons are highly frivolous and to my mind there is a major defect to the machine which the Company is not able to detect and therefore avoiding the same . Most of my friends who have similar type of Side by Side Doors Fridge of other companies do not have this problem and so its an unit level defect which the company people are not taking any action to resolve it . The Warranty will expire on 23/12/15 and then on every visit they will make me pay for their visit . I want to have the defective Refrigerator taken back and replace with a new one . Amit Kumar Roy
