[Resolved] Lion Dates Impex Pvt Ltd — Insects found in Lion deseeded dates box after i open a sealed one

Hi, Yesterday night (8th March, 2014) i bought Lion deseeded dates box (packed and batch no: 24 FEB 14/0712) from a grocery store ( Vijaya Laxmi super market, Plot no 303, Allapur, hyderabad-18). After i open the sealed box, i found its full of insects (beetles). I was shocked to see insects inside the box as I have been buying lion dates for a long time (doctor suggested for my mother). I can no longer look at Lion dates the same way. Please take severe action against this company as i see many other complaints against the same importer. Bought from: Vijaya Laxmi super market, Plot no 303, Allapur, hyderabad-18 Imported by: LION DATES IMPEX PVT LTD, STERLING RD, NUNGAMBAKKAM, CHENNAI - 34. Lion Dates IMpex Pvt Ltd — Feather inside LIon Dates

I found a feather embedded inside one of the dates in a Lion dates packet manufactutred in JUL2011/SD77. In the front cover it is advertised as "Premiun Dates Finely Sourced" !! There is a Pure VEG product symbol ( green dot) also in the packet. It is quite evident that there is absolutely no quality checks on Lion Dates when packed with very poor non edible grade food items for which the company shows an ISO9001:2008 certification at the back of the cover.

As per Indian food products regulations, if adultered or contaminated non edible food is sold, then it is punishable which leads to cancellation of lisences. It is a mystery how a bird feather can get embed inside a dates? It strongly calls for the way in which the company gives FREE offers which contains adultered food.
