Mahadiscom — Disconnection of electricity line/ Meter without notice, even though there are no previous dues shown in the bill.

We are staying at Goregaon, Mumbai & have a week-end home at Mhasa village near Murbad. We are paying our electricity bills on website of Mahadiscom. Our last bill is Rs. 790/= and the due date is 15th Jan 2015. As we have paid regularly, this bill does'nt show any previous balance/due amount. But today on 28/01/2015, MAHADISCOM site-staff came to disconnect our line & meter having consumer no.[protected], just because we have not paid our current bill having due on 15/01/2015. We think this is not justified & against the rules & regulations of MAHADISCOM/MSEB. In our area, these things are happening very often & the staff of MAHADISCOM harrasses us like anything and behaving like they are the rulers. They do not disclose their names. Further after this I tried to pay my bill through one of our neighbor Mr. Kumar, who stays in the opposite house. When he gave a currency note of Rs. 1000/=, the person who was collecting the bill said, he do not have change & went away with our Rs.1000/= for a bill of Rs. 790/=, saying the balance will be credited to our account. He has not given any receipt for the bill amount collected from us. Hence our complaint is - 1. Why MAHADISCOM disconnects our electricity line/meter without giving prior notice as required by R & R. 2. Can MAHADISCOM disconnect our electricity line in the same month as that of the due date? If not why they are not taking any corrective actions to correct this. 3. Why M/s. MAHADISCOM is not providing trainings to their staff on how to talk with the customer. They just behave like they are the proprietor of MAHADISCOM. 4. We have not received any positive feedback to our earlier complaints, this indicates MAHADISCOM is not taking any actions on the customer complaints. 5. Why MAHADISCOM Callcenter do not have a provision to accept complaints online. I talked to one Mr. Pravin, who said that they can't book our complaint. Though there is an icon for complaint, it is not working on web-site. Please forward this compalint seriously for actions & do the needful. Thanking you with warm regards, V.V.
