Our Electricity Bill for 19/10/2016-19/11/2016 came around 1800/- and we were completely shocked, as during this time for 10 days we were not at home (Diwali vacation) and wondered!!!
Then we registered complaint (Complaint no:[protected] and they informed us that our meter is faulty (another shock) and that when meters' are at fault we get average bill (another shock). If Electricity Board are aware about faulty meter they should come and replace. Repair it rather then sending average bill.
How can they extract even an extra single penny for the electricity we have not even used???
After multiple follow-ups they asked us to visit Kalamboli Office (i think complain was done online, so personal visit was not required) and there one Babu told us 'It is a big process to lodge a complaint and get the meter repaired/replaced' so we will have to pay our bill.
Also, if we don't pay they will cut our meter (the one which is already shutdown)!!!
Why are we supposed to pay/asked to pay the bill for a faulty meter? Why are our complaints being ignored? Is this the service provided? or should this be circulated among st internet and to the higher authorities?
Our bill is due to be paid on 19.12.2016 and we expect assistance before that.
Also, all these last months we have been paying extra bill (as my husband and I both are working and hardly there is use of any electricity) but came to our notice when we were not at home for 10 days and still bill came so high. Was this information helpful? |
