Make My Gateway — Cheating nature of Merchant | |||
On 02 nd Jan 2015 I got a call from phone No. +[protected] named Rahul Kapur claimed to be called from make my gate way and told that I got selected as winner of the lucky draw of Make my Gateway and got opportunity to get a gift of Sony Xperia Z2 Tab if I book a holiday package for Rs 7999/- and the deal valid for the day only. I simply ignored, but again on 3rd December I got a call from a guy of Chennai of same company named Ramakrishnan said that I was selected as one among the customer for the gift and time is extended for another day i.e 3rd January 2015 and also assured that if I pay on the same day he would dispatch the Holiday package along with the Sony Xperia Z2 Tab by DTDC courier. Like a fool I have paid immediately the amount and got the payment confirmation. Three days latter I got a mail from make my gate way saying that my mobile was switched off and required an alternate number for verification and confirmation or I need to contact their customer care number. Since then I had tried to contact them through their customer care Number (0120.6520173 &[protected] but I got the recorded voice message that 'please check the number you have dialed' for the second the number is switched off. . After a week I got their customer care line and the response was very poor. Till today they could neither dispatch the product as they assured nor return the money back. Even today I contacted their customer care, complained about this, the reply is same that they will look in to that. I just keep on trying them and they also keep on telling that the product will be dispatched soon but results in vein. Even one time they said that the product is dispatched and it will reach in three days, after three days I just contacted their customer care, I really shocked with the reply that the product was returned to them because it got damaged during transit. I really wonder that how can they find out the damage of product during transit. As far as my knowledge is concerned, the damage can only be found when the product is unpacked by the receiver. You may all understand that how far they decide to cheat. Even after many complaints seen in the web address Make My Gateway Customer Care - Consumer Complaints Forum, they continue to cheat. I would like to file a case against them, and I had recorded the conversation as proof. Finally I contacted on 28th February 2015, and they replied that the product is ready to dispatch and will be dispatched in Monday i.e 2nd March, and they asked me contact them again on Monday to get the Docket Number. But till today I am trying them but resulted in vein.
Hence I hereby request the concerned authority to look into it and see that such idiotic incident should not be repeated.
