Dear All
We had booked for a holiday package to Gangtok, Lachung and Darjeeling from
Bangalore for 26September 2014 to 2nd October 2014.
Due to medical emergency where Col G V Rao was hospitalized on 25th Sept and
advised for complete bed rest for 4 weeks we were not able to start on the
journey.
The flight tickets were cancelled and the refund is under process, but I was
given to understand that the hotel booking amount of Rs60, 500.00 will not be
refunded.
I totally understand that there is a zero cancellation policy when we signed
up and the vendor must have undergone some loss.
But what I fail to understand is that you can always charge a penalty for the
inconvenience caused but not giving any amount is a crime.
I am sure the hotel will definitely rent the room to some other guests and
make a profit, so why should we pay the entire amount.
I can provide you will the hospital bills and other proofs once he is
discharged.
Since this is an medical emergency, request you to please consider the same.
Regards
Kavitha Rao Was this information helpful? |
