MakeMyTrip.com — Domestic flight refund | |||
On 8th May 2015, I booked a flight on line from Mumbai to Calcutta, India. The flight was paid for by credit card (8, 734 Indian rupees) and the booking confirmation was emailed to me. A little while later, I received an email indicating my booking had been cancelled due to a computer error and that I would receive a refund. I telephoned to ask what happened and how can I book a flight and was told I would receive a full refund which would take a few days to show up in my account and was advised that I had to pay again to re-book the same flight. I did so, and again paid 8, 734 rupees 'on top' of the previous 8, 734 rupees previously paid for the flight that MakeMyTrip cancelled. I then received an emailed booking confirmation and the flight went ahead without problem. However, I have still not received my refund as I had to pay twice for the same flight! I was asked by MakeMyTrip to forward the bank statement to them which I did and which clearly showed both amounts of 8, 734 Indian rupees being withdrawn and no refund of the 8, 734 Indian rupees put back into my account. I have emailed many times and made several telephone calls to MakeMyTrip and the last one was on 25th November when they hung up on me! Was this information helpful? | |||
