Manhattan Credit Card — i cancelled my card

Such a painful experience. Inefficient and non cooperative staff. Unwilling to understand the customer needs and just charging money. i am holding card Manhattan platinum plus (Visa card) ending 2579. First i had been told that the card will be free for life time as i am holding other cards also which are free for life time like HDFC card, SBI card and many more. Even my payments are very regular to all the services. But Manhattan has levied the renewal charges on my card without my information and when i asked to cancel the card that time their customer care executive offered me to reverse the renewal charges. But i was so did not accet his offer and asked to cancel my card. Still i am waiting for that cancelled card message from Manhattan but i did not received it from last 1.5 months. That time i promised that if i get that message i will settle their dues by visiting their standard charted bank branch. But again and again atleast 2-3 times in a day i get their message about overdue payment but i am yet to receive the cancel card notification by email or SMS. Every time i get call from Standard charter bank for payment i ask them for notification message but till date they fail to send me and instead every 15-20 days they are leaving penalty. I am not going to pay any penalty or renewal charges levied by them but ready to settlement their dues.
