Max Hospital — Regarding Charges taken for a review | |||
Sir/Madam This mail is regarding an honest query or in fact it is more so a request. There is no doubt that I really appreciate Max Hospital for its quality doctors and a hospitable environment. And so, I have been here several times due to the utmost level of trust I have developed on the hospital. But today a really unfortunate event has occurred. I had an appointment with Dr. Pooja Pahwa on the 27th of March and was called for a review after 2 weeks. And hence, due to the "doctor's calling" I went today i.e. 17th of April. And on my utter shock I was asked for the Base Fee i.e. Rs. 800 once again. And when I enquired about it, I was told that the earlier fee is "valid" for only 1 week. But may I ask how is this ethical, since I was called by the doctor herself for a minor review. Moreover being a student, it becomes more difficult for me to pay such a huge sum only for a review, given the fact that the same amount was charged the 1st time. As far as I know, no hospital charges such a big sum for the second visit and that too when I was called for a review. And it is not much a question of the 'measure of value' but a question of 'ethics'. I hope you understand my trouble and I would be grateful if you could please refund my money.
