[Resolved]  Metro Hospital (Multispeciality), Sec-11, Noida — Medical Ignorance and negligence towards patient by Metro Hospital (Multispeciality), Noida

Address:Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh

I would like to draw your kind attention towards irresponsible behavior of management (Mrs Manjula Gupta, Billing Manager) and misguidance from Doctors (Dr.Amitabh Goel, Neurosurgeon)of Metro Hospital & Heart Institute(Multispeciality), Sec-11, Noida which have left patient in state of misery and untreated by refusing her Surgery/treatment for Tethered Spinal Cord Syndrome.
Patient was initially admitted (on advance was Rs 5000 )in Metro Hospital, Sec-11, Noida on 10.1.13 where she was diagnosed Tethered Cord Syndrome (TCS)which required urgent surgery as patient urinary bladder was affected completely with 50% sensory loss in legs. Dr.Amitabh Goel, neurosurgeon on his visit on 11.1.13 gave brief of surgery to be performed and suggested operation on Tuesday or thereafter as 12 was Sunday and 13 Jan he had some other surgery. Since Surgery on spinal cord was to be offered cashless by Metro Hospital Sector-11 as per my company(UPRVUNL) and their contract . I queried Ms.Manjula Gupta to start billing on cashless head for which she replied it require re-admission. Being such a case patient was discharged on 11.1.2013 (with advise note stating –To be admitted under Dr.Amitabh Goel for surgery from hospital )
On 15.01.13 patient was again taken to hospital to be admitted for surgery, where I showed the discharge summary of last time and asked them to admit patient for surgery(authorization slip & medical diary slip was shown to TPA/Billing Manager) . Doctors told that patient was having fever therefore she will be admitted under some physicians. And again advance was Rs 5000 was admitted to Metro Hospital, Sec-11, Noida and however all pre-requisite tested for surgery was conducted against submitted advance.
Seeing the vicious circle behavior of hospital to avoid cashless admission I clearly asked Ms.Manjula Gupta, billing manager that when I will get cashless treatment against spinal cord surgery for which she failed to reply satisfactorily .After an hour later Dr.Amitabh Goel telephonic told that surgery is not possible in this hospital and we have to go to other hospitals. However we waited for next day for the visit of Dr.Amitabh Goel hoping matter can be resolved. But doctor on visit told the same story to avoid cashless surgery and referred us to other hospital.
Finally patient was discharged at night on 16.1.2014 and was admitted to Holy Family, Okhla, Delhi .God save us all from such hospital and doctors

Bad to hear that. Don't know the context but the truth is you were in trouble and instead of offering a Help to you, they looked liked insisted on depositing fee and formalities.

Metro cities and so called metro hospitals are just money making business now. Nothing more than that. More money, more facilities, more care else go elsewhere.

Stakeholders monetary benefits matters now for these hospitals instead of needy patients care and economic cure with best nursing. God bless these all
