Dear Sir,
I stay at Navi Mumbai and travel to Mumbai daily for work. From October 01, 2014, toll charges has been revised to Rs. 35/- one side (from Rs.30/- previously). The Rs. 5/- is leading to acute congestion at the toll as it requires Rs. 5/- as change which was not the case earlier. Since October 01, 2014, I have been experiencing waiting of over 10 to 20 minuets daily on one side. This waiting due to congestion and insufficient number of toll booth is costing me consumption of over one litre of fuel in my car which translates to additional burden of Rs. 70/-or above for one way during peak hours.
I don't have any objection in paying the toll tax but as a user do I not have right for smooth passage (without waiting and loosing fuel)? Why should I not claim my waiting cost from the toll booth if am made to wait due to insufficient infrastructure/ services by the service provider?
Thanks and regards,
