[Resolved]  MTNL Mumbai — Disturbance on telephone line

My telephone number is 26046469. The line is unusable as there is a constant hum and crackling noise so that I cannot understand what the caller is saying. I have contacted MTNL thrice. They keep telling me that the problem is fixed but the crackling continues. I have have even tried to contact the area line man supervisor. He quickly rattled off a phone number and disconnected the call even before I had a chance to take the number down. Subsequent attempts to call him were fruitless.
