ASHMI TELECOM, NO.73/90, MEENAMBAL SALAI, KRISHNAMURTHYNAGAR, CHENNAI-118 Ref acc no: [protected] Data card no: [protected] Sub: Dissatisfaction with service I had purchased MTS 3G PLUS data card with the tariff plan corp MIFI-REVB unlimited 799-12 GB plan on 26/10/2013. I had complained several times both through the dealer and the customer care ( Complaint no: OCT/4887 & NOV/1600 ). Almost a month has elapsed but the problem has not been resolved by the company. We have not even used it for a single day despite the fact that we brought it on the first day of launch seeing a two page advertisement in TIMES OF INDIA.I cannot understand how the company could issue such an advertisement regardingthe speed of 9.8 Mbps when we couldn't get even 9.8 Kbps. Before launch they should have tested the instrument in all major areas of the city so that customers would not have got cheated this way by false promises. Even in the showroom in M.K.B Nagar, the speed was not more than 1 Mbps(2G). This is a clear case of cheating/fraud and causing unnecessary mental tension and giving false hope to the customer.I don't know how to rectify this.Daily we are tortured to pay the billIt has Caused a lot of mental tension to us.we are not being able to use internet for a long time for we kept belief in Mts 3G+. I Want full refund of Rs.2500 along with compensation of Rs 25000 for unwanted mental torture and tension Was this information helpful? | |||

A small correction, I had bought the connection in Oct 2013. But as stated already, instead of "19 MBPS" i could not receive even "19 KBPS" which is surely deficiency of service & defrauding the customer by misleading ads in Tv & Newspapers(TOI). The card was used only for test purposes to see if the internet speed was ok. But I was sent 2 bills charging rental for 2 months which i objected since the promised service was not given. My connection was then cut.Till date even after complaining several times to Their customer Care, Several emails & even a letter thru Courier, the company is keeping mum about the service & restoration of the connection but is speaking loud to recover 2 months rental for the connection which could not be used satisfactorily. Now they have sent me a legal notice from their Delhi Office(Sri.Ranvir Vats-Advocate, Chamber K-126, Near gate No-2, Tis hazari Court, Delhi-110054) stating that I am to be charged under Sec 420 among other sections for non payment - I have not cheated -it is only the company who has cheated not only me but also many customers like me by selling this Bogus data card & then charging Rental for the data which cannot be used thru this data card. Morever the data card was bought in Chennai Then the Court jurisdiction should be Chennai & not Delhi- This is again a clever way of cheating the customer & forcing him to pay up.
