I got a call from mts +91 [protected] asking me to try the mts 3g+ dongle with promise of refund if i don't get good speed (at least 3 mbps). i explained to him that i've already tried two years ago and it didn't work and i got my money back only after a lot of struggle. he said things have changed now and the network coverage has increased due of partnership with reliance. i still didn't want to take it but he convinced me to try (as of now there is no internet service in my area other than airtel 3g). i said i would take it only if the promise of refund in written form was included with the dongle. the person on the other side agreed. The next day i got another call from another mts personnel +91 [protected] for confirming if i wanted to purchase the dongle. i asked her if it is guaranteed that i will get a refund if there is no network coverage in my area. she said there will definitely be a refund if i don't get good speed or network coverage. she noted some of my details and told me that somebody will call me for delivering the dongle at my address and that i have to pay 1600 at the time of delivery. when the dongle was delivered to me, i paid 1600 but i did not receive any written promise of refund and upon asking the person who delivered the dongle, i was told that i must contact the customer care since he is from delivery department and won't be able to help. When i tested the dongle, the network speed was so poor that i couldn't even open google.com. i called the customer care and none of things they asked by to try worked so i asked about the refund. the reply was that there is no such policy at mts and that i should contact the seller. I called the numbers from which i the sellers called me. [protected] cannot be reached and on calling [protected], i was assured that somebody will first verify the network issue. after a few days when i called [protected] nobody answers the phone no matter how many times i call. i have spoken to customer care after that but nothing helped and my ticket was closed (twice) even though it was not resolved. I have been trying to get my money back for weeks and the customer care is not helping. i think this is a case of cheating.
