[Resolved] Nownaukri.com — No refund money paid on the same day for no satisfaction | |||
I got a call from one Ashok Bhatia from[protected] claiming he has got my resume from www.naukri.com. He said that my resume is liked by TCS, Capgemini, Honeywell. he can arrange for a highly paying jobs and asked me to register with them. He then put me on to another person Sachin Sharma who then made me pay a sum of Rs. 15, 234/- towards registration & several resume services. They sent me a receipt for the same and told me that they would be scheduling the job interview in the next few days. I was asked to pay for Forwarding my resume Service, Live Interview Preparation Service, Education Verification Service, Past Employment Verification Service. I got a call from one Mr Chauhan of Now Naukri.com at 19:16 pm yesterday 6/2/2016. Like many others writing about their experience, was assured to jobs from 6 companies. I demanded to know the names of the companies. The line was then transferred to his superior, who gave me the name of six companies.
Unfortunately, he made a mistake with the first company. Unfortunately again for him, I know how the recruiting system works for a CFO position for "Novartis", being in the same industry, and having my CV being considered directly by the company earlier. I kept cross- questioning him. i asked him the name of the recruiter at Novartis. He gave the name of Sudhakar at Novartis HR. I know there is no Sudhakar at Novartis. I know that they were frauds then and there.
He then mentioned that Sun Pharma, Tata Motors, Volkswagon, and one other company. Being in pharma industry for five years now at the CFO level, and now Exe Director Finance level, I know some of the recruiters and the kind of profiles the above companies entertain. This recruiter had the audacity to state that these organizations were looking for a CFO.
For forty minutes, I cross-questioned them asking for details. I then played dumb to see where they would take me next. They directed me to their payment site. I then asked them for a guarantee, as they claimed that they would fix an interview in "fifteen days" with the above companies. I asked them the next steps after making a payment. They then send they would review my profile. At the start of the call they claimed they already had my CV and it had already been sent to the above companies. When i cross-questioned them, they started to tell me, if not these six, then "several others" would be inviting me for interviews.
Getting tired of speaking and feeling hungry, I decided to close. I asked them to give me an undertaking on their letter-head signed by an authorised signatory of Now Naukri that in the event that if the so-called six interviews did not happen within fifteen business days, Now Naukri would refund me the entire amount. They flatly refused stating that they do not have a refund policy.
They also told me that Naukri.com and Now Naukri are not related entities. Would request some one to enquire whether Now Naukri is a fraud or these two individuals are frauds. If they are indeed different organizations, then Naukri.com should, in its own business interest, put out a disclaimer in all newspapers stating that they are in no way connected with Now Naukri.com. An order to desist from such practices should be initiated immediately.
Advise all to cross-question them, insist on them speaking slowly, ask them for refund letter and guarantee of refund on a legal stamp paper.
Do not pat with you money till you check the credentials. We have the internet, Google, Glassdoor. Please read and verify. Keep asking them to slow down their speech and cross-question them. Keep your internet open when you speak. Lead them and trap them. They make a lot of mistakes in their sales pitch.

I was asked to cough up Rs 15, 294 for some Services. When I said, I want my money back on the same day. It was a flat refusal. They sent me a receipt for the money paid. All these things happened in a fraction of 15 minutes. They kept on increasing the number of products, Resume forwarding service, Live Interview preparation Service, Employment Verification Service, Education Verification Service. When I realized I am in a mess, I asked for money return on the same day. It is a flat refusal.
