Ola Cabs — Terrible service | |||
I use ola cabs on a regular basis in Delhi. I use the cabs and the autos and the service is usually impeccable lest this case. I called for an auto to pick me up from my office to drop me home. The auto arrived on time and at the exact place after giving a few instructions to the driver. Got into the auto and reached home. While standing under my building the meter read Rs. 78. I took out a note of Rs. 100 and handed it to the driver and along with 3 rupees as I was under the impression that the meter read 77. The balance he would return to me would be 20 rupees. The driver in a very rude manner threw my 3 rupees at me and said I will give you 7 rupees and keep your 3 rupees with you. I was shocked and asked why, so he said u have to pay 10 rupees over the meter charge. Again very shocked as I always paid what the meter would show every time I booked an auto through ola. If this is a rule, why are we not informed of this? I feel disgraced to argue with an auto driver over 10 rupees. To make matters worse after calling the customer service, they seemed least bothered and said 'we'll check with the driver.' How does that serve my purpose? The driver would say he's innocent. The executive also did not bother finding out the details of my complaint and did so only after I asked him so. I feel wronged being loyal to a particular brand.
