My mother was hospitalized in Feb 2014 due to heart stroke and she balloon angioplasty . I submitted all the medical bills and supporting documents to the tpa (GHPL, Bangalore) for the medical claim processing.
After submission, I had to keep on chasing them to get the status of my claim . Later they mentioned claim got rejected due to "Pre-existing disease". Not sure, how can they conclude like that. When I escalated the issue to the higher authorities, they asked me to submit supporting documents ( supporting no PED).
Again I submitted the supporting documents ( from the Hospital) saying there was no pre-existing disease. I didn't get proper response for the next 3-4 months. Whenever I am calling them, either they are telling "No updates yet from the insurance company" or "claim got rejected".
More than 1 year, I have been chasing them and pathetic experience . Was this information helpful? |
