Pizza Hut India — Online Order Delivery

Hello team,

Today my daughter was very hungry and so decided to order from Pizza Hut online for a Cheesy Garlic Bread with Hot wings at 18:47 hrs.. The app gave an error that there was something which went wrong and the order did not go through. Next thing i could relate to was that it was the second time I had such a bad experience. Last time we had ordered from my husbands phone and thinking the order did not go through did it twice and were charged for 2 transactions which was credited in 20 days. So I checked my bank account balance which showed the amount was debited but order did not go through (thanks to the last experience and lessons learnt)

This is concerning me cause this is the second time it is happening with the Khairtabad Raj Bhavan branch, Hyderabad. The responses from the customer support when I call is - Sorry for the inconvenience (automated and scripted). There is no empathy towards the customer. My amount is blocked for 8-10 days for no fault of mine and I get a standard reply -- This will come only in 8-10 working days.

Lot of disappointment and hassle I had amidst the busy work day. The store manager and the customer support people who all assist me know there was a problem and recommended me to do cash on deliver and not online payment. They should remove the online order system rather than recommending it to customers to do cash on delivery. Why have the online payment system when they know that it has bugs.

Issue: the app has bugs and this is the second time i faced problems with it. These people are aware of it and are recommending me to do cash on delivery. refund will be given in 10 days meaning for no reason my amount is blocked.

Even their call center team support told me to use cash on delivery which means they are aware of this issue and gave the same answer - sorry for the inconvenience. you amount will be refunded in 8-10 working days. sorry ma'am we cannot do anything. this is the standard process we follow.

This may be just another call for them but for me end of the day - my work was disturbed, at home I could not provide the order and kept my daughter waiting. My amount got blocked for no reason for 10 days. These people know it but do not act on it. just by assuring refund does not serve the purpose. the first time it happened to us was 6-8 months back with Pizza hut same branch which is disappointing.

They have to take down their app or fix it cause it is an impacting issue.
