Police Verification — Passport police verification is pending

Sir, I have submitted my details to the PSK Kolkata for issuing fresh and normal passport on 15/6/2015. But still the police verification has not been completed. Tracking status is 'pending for physical police verification at your respective thana under SP Office, District East Medinipur'. I contacted the thana, but they are saying they haven't got any file with my name. My file number is CA[protected]. When the police verification will happen? Please let me know as soon as possible.
