[Resolved] [protected] — Credit card fraud
Call was from [protected]. I want to report fraud that has happened on my Credit Card. I got a call today morning from a person claiming she was calling on behalf of ICICI bank and that i am a privilege bank customer. She mentioned Bank is redeeming my reward points of 800 which had already expired by issuing a new card and the 800 reward points will be redeemed by a Online shopping facility. All i had to do was to confirm them, they will send me a pin via sms, i will get a call from the Online Agency. Once I confirmed this Online agency, they will do the transaction via my reward pts, it won't reflect on the card so need not pay anything. I was wondering about my reward points for last few months, so I got interested. She gave me my details like the last four digits of my credit card, that it was visa and my DOB for which i was convinced that the call from ICICI bank. She asked me Issue date, expiry date, CVV number, i told her i shouldn't be giving that to anyone, she said see I told you Visa card first few numbers, details like DOB, how will i know unless i am from the bank!! So I gave her the details, i got an sms, she asked me the number is recieved. I just saw the sms was from ICICI Bank and gave her the 6 digit number without reading the entire SMS. Unfortunately it was the OTP. Few mins later I got an sms of Credit card transaction of Rs 7750. I tried calling back to the so called customer service, but phone was out of range, Also refer to this link below :- police-against-anjali-sharma-[protected]-for-cheating-rs-7750-through-credit-card-tran...⇄ I am not the first one to have gone through such situation. This looks like a big hacker gang stealing money using Bank details. This is a big threat. Please look into this urgently Was this information helpful?

Hi,
Exactly same incident has happened to me too.. The call was from the above said number and they said everything which you mentioned.
This amount of 7, 750/- should not be credited to their account.
Just found their are a lot of complaints for the same number with the same amount.
They should be held as soon as possible.
