Pune Traffic Police — Traffic jams and diversions should be well informed in advance

Hi traffic police department,

I am resident near sinhgad road, and while returning home from hadapsar road i have faced a heavy traffic problem during annabhau sathe jayanti yesterday (dt:1august2016) from flyover at kumar pacific (near golibar maidan) to way home. from kumar pacific as soon we descend the flyover, the traffic congestion started and we were moving by few centimeters. it took 1hr for 1.5 kms upto swargate. even after that our lane was freezed by traffic police at swargate for 10-15 mins we were asked to take a diversion of tilak rd. same congestion on tilak rd. and from tilak rd i took turn towards lokmanya nagar area, where i was struck for more than an hour. no street lights, heavy rain, signals of no use because no way to go ahead (a complete block). a cop told me in front of neelayam theatre that sinhgad rd is jam so i chose to go to my other relative at marketyard instead of home.
My only intension to tell this is traffic diversions or any congestions which may occur due to any festivals/jayanti's or anything, should be informed well in advance (atleat 1 or 2 days) so that we can manage the routes accordingly.

I was driving car in 1st gear for almost 2 hrs and total journey was of 3 hrs and even then i could not reach home. this made me feel unhealthy and it was a terrible experience so i request you to please inform whole public before such congestion.
