[Resolved]  Reliance Broadband — Suspicious behaviour exhibited by Reliance broadband agent

After checking the Reliance broadband(wired) plans available in Trinvandrum on Reliance website, I had contacted the Reliance agent named VISHNU (Phn no: [protected]) and he came to my house with the required forms. But this agent mentioned that the installation charge is Rs 799 and not the amount (Rs 599) mentioned on Reliance website. He asked me to provide cheque for the payment and promised to install the broadband connection within a day or two. I had provided him with my ID proof, passport size photograph asnd a cheque of Rs 799. But the next day this person informed me that an additional amount of Rs800 is required for installation (I couldn't understand for what was the purpose of providing cheque of Rs799 earlier as intallation charge). Due to the over charging, I decided to not to proceed with Reliance broadband connection. Hence I asked the agent not to process the connection request and had asked him to returm back the documents and cheque I had given him. Now this person has been playing around for last few days saying that he would return it today and then later he says he submitted it to Reliance office and asked me to collect from there etc. With ultimate frustration I went to Relaince office and reported this issue. The officer at Reliance, contacted this irresponsible agent and asked him to return the documents to me. But till now he is giving vague reasons like he would return it the next day and then when I call him the next day he says he is on leave etc. Such employees are tarnishing the reputation of Reliance. Now I am very much concerned why this person is not returing my Photo, address proof and the cheque. I request that suitable action be taken against this. Being a female I am more concerned about the security of the documents (Photo, address proof etc).

Well, every complaint has this same reply posted underneath. However, waiting to know how well customer service team would resolve this issue. It would not take weeks or months since my ultimate need is to get back my passport size photograph, address proof and the cheque that I had handed over to the agent. I would definitely confirm in this forum if it happens.
Reliance cant be relied upon.. No one contacted me from their customer service team and still the irresponsible agent is gone with my documents. No wonder..only FRAUDS can work for these kind of FRAUD companies. I have now decided to file a complaint against them in Police..lets see how long the agent can keep hiding with my documents.
