[Resolved]  Reliance Communications — Reliance broadband

I've had my reliance net connect connection since about 6 plus years or so. However last year there were some issues with the connection and reliance took almost one month to get the issue resolved with a very bad show of customer support. I then put the connection on hold for 3 months while deciding to try out other options. However after about 4 months, without a call or anything from Reliance I just got a bill for around 900 Rs from reliance team.
I then decided to terminate the connection and asked Reliance to do so. However the customer care representative was very unhelpful and did not take down any details of the same.

Now I am getting repeated emails from some advocate and recently received an email from some legal authority for Lok Adalat settlement. They are asking for an amount of 1700 which is not what was outstanding. I have asked them repeatedly to tell me what is the amount for but all I got was a reply stating that they cannot give me any details and that I just have to pay up.

Can someone from Reliance get in touch with me to get this resolved? I am willing to pay the amount as long as I know what I am paying. I am not ready to pay just any amount that they ask for.

All the contact numbers they provide do not work so I have no details.

The latest email had the below header:

Ref: - Pre-Litigation Case No. LK/FEB-16/SME-8153


Sub: - Proposal of Reliance Communications Ltd., for presenting your dispute with regard to outstanding billing amount of Rs. 1725 /- for BAN No. [protected] before the Lok-Adalat.
Sir/Madam,

Apropos to the subject mentioned above, you are hereby informed that, the Applicant Reliance Communication Ltd, Pune with regard to the outstanding billing amount of Rs.1725 /- has arranged a Pre-Litigation Lok-adalat on Saturday 13/02/2016 at 11.00 a.m. Till 4.00 pm. It is contended that you have availed Services of Reliance Communications ltd, but failed to pay the above mentioned billing amount. The particulars of which are as under:-


1. Type of the bill / Account :- Broadband /Leased Line/ PRI service rendered

2. Name of Customer :- MR ABHISHEK R GOYAL

3. Total Outstanding amount :- 1725 /-


Taking into consideration the aforesaid contentious issues, it is expedient for referring your matter at Pre-Litigation stage to Lok-Adalat U/s. 19(5) (ii) of the Legal Services Authority Act, 1987 for final determination.


Hence you are requested to remain present at 11.00 a.m. Till 4.00 pm on 13-FEB-16 at District Court, Shivajinagar, Pune for amicably settlement.

i am too getting similar mail and the content of the mail has been attached below. Similar to above case, i move out of pune in 2009 and had requested for termination as well. But for last few days i see too many mails from SHAIKH.
