[Resolved] Reliance Retail Ltd — Defective blackberry handset sold to me | |||
Reliance Digital - Park Mansion, 57A Park Street, Kolkata - 700016 I had purchased a BlackBerry 9720 mobile telephone on 13.07.2014. from Reliance Retail Ltd., Park Mansion, 57A Park Street, Kolkata - 700016. However the next day on Monday 14.07.2014. When I tried to use the mobile I found that it was not working. So the next day on Tuesday 15.07.2014. I had taken the set back to the Reliance Digital Store at Park Street. They had kept the handset promising to check and correct the problem. However the next day on Wednesday 16.07.2014. They have returned the handset saying that they were unable to do anything as it was a handset problem and that I should take the same to the BlackBerry service centre. Thereafter I had taken the handset to the BlackBerry service centre at 222, A.J.C. Bose Road, Kolkata on Friday 18.07.2014. My Token Number was A13 dated 18.07.2014. However they have also refused to rectify my handset and informed me that the problem was from the shop (Reliance Digital Ltd.). So till now I have not been able to use the handset at all. Copy of my Purchase Invoice is attached. Now Blackberry has informed me that the SIM tray pins have been damaged by me, so they cannot give me a replacement under the warranty scheme. They are of the impression that I have deliberately damaged the SIM tray pin. I have argued with them that I have no knowledge of SIM tray pins but they refuse to help me. Dear Sir,
Yesterday on 24 July 2014 there was a telephone call from Reliance Digital on Park Street Kolkata. The shop which sold me the mobile phone.
They asked me to come to the shop and they said they would help solve my problem.
Today on 25 July 2014, I have gone to the shop at 2:30 PM. I met the shop manager Mr. Kamalesh Kumar. He made me wait for more than 90 minutes in the shop without addressing my problem.
After that I saw he was roaming around in the shop but he refused to address my problem and kept asking me to wait. Of course I informed him and left the shop because I felt he was unnecessarily harassing me.I am a senior citizen of this country aged 64 and this was no way to treat an unhappy customer.
I request you to please look into this matter,
