[Resolved] Renault — Dealership refusing delivery of vehicle | |||||
I had booked a Renault Duster RXZ 85ps with Renault Jammu dealership on 13/08/2016 in the name of my wife, Payal Sharma, under booking no 3165 by paying Rs.10000/- cash. I was assured delivery within 40-45 days. I did not receive any updates from the dealership after the booking and I didn't take that as a matter of concern. When on 11/10/2016 I visited Renault Jammu to enquire about the vehicle, shockingly it was revealed to me that Renault India is having some issues with the dealerships in J&K, Himachal and Punjab, and Renault has stopped delivery of vehicles in these states. The sales manager bluntly told me to cancel my booking and look for other options with other manufacturers. Further more the sales manager told me that Renault India and Nissan might be closing there shop in India soon. I raised a complaint with Renault India on 12/10/2016 and my complaint was registered under complaint no ID[protected]. They assured me that I would be updated promptly about the issue. But Renault India has now stopped replying to my mails and over phone they keep saying that they will update me soon. All this has confirmed my doubts that something is seriously wrong with Renault India. I would request everyone to kindly research thoroughly before booking a Renault vehicle.
