[Resolved]  Renault — Kwid - acceleration problem

I bught KWID on 28 October in Delhi. Since the day I have bought the car. the cars accelerator misses at slow speed. i.e the car is in gear the engine is on everything in order however when accelerated it doesnst pick up the speed. I have visited he service centre several times, they replaced few parts on me proving the problem by showing them a video of the same. When I was taking car back home from service centre there it self the car was not accelerating for 5 minutes. they again replaced few more parts. Mr. Amit the engineer at Divine Service Centre here in Delhi also states that the company is not able to figure out the mistake.
I am unable to understand that an International company cant figure out what the mistake is.
If it is a manufacturing problem then the company should recall the unit. However I just need a solution to my Car.

today morning when i took my car out after driving for a few kilometres it gave a signal of engine Immobility.
when I contacted the service center it stated that may be programming of the lcar went wrong or the car is giving wrong responses. and again they are asking we to get the car to the service centre.

Isnt the company takingi t seriously. Looks like some kind of a joke is happenieng here.

Horrible service never expected this out of an international firm

After raising the complaint my car was called by the service for replacing some major parts. From 11 Feb 2016 to 12 Feb 2016 my car was with the service center. after i received my car I received a receipt stating that only service was done.

My car has gone from bad to worst. Cant an international firm detect a problem in the car???? And if cant just replace the unit.

What is the company waiting for.
1. For the car to go old and expiry its warranty period standing in the car service center
2. or is the company waiting for a fatal accident to happen and then take any step

This is whole lot of mental, financial and time harassment.
I have wasted more than 5000 Rs in all this . This time it was worst. when I gave my car for servicing there was 2 level fuel in it and when I received the car the delivery boy took 200 Rs from me for the fuel.

My car has met with a small accident due to this acceleration trouble where my driver door was hit by a car as my car lost acceleration during trun at a circle. and when i asked the service center they clearly denied for any service on it.
If you cant give extra service at least give me a perfect piece to drive.

I have a TOYOTA make since 8 tears but without any trouble I have been driving it.
Is RENNAULT that bad a brand?????
I think I have taken the worst decision of my life.

Buying the car was to save money and time but my time money and effort consumption has just gone up.

Replace the unit if you cant rectify the mistake.

I am also facing the same problem with accelerator of Kwid. In low speeds sometimes when I press the accelerator pedal there is no acceleration / pick up. engine remains on, nothing happens on gear change. then i have to switch off and on the engine. then it works fine. Has the problem in ur car been solved ? I purchased in November, 2015 but I am facing the problem now.
I had bought KWID in the month of October where I had major issues in acceleration where in the car would miss on the acceleration and would be normal only on change of gear.

After regular follow ups and the car going to service center again and again the company did not agree to the error. But after me providing video clips they agreed to it And they gave me a written confirmation that if the problem re occurs they would buy back my car.


I faced the same issues again and Recorded the incident as well. When we contacted Mr. Negi from Renault for the same he said we have developed a new software to overcome the short coming.


I sent my car for the service of new software instead of asking for buy back. Logically I could have demanded my money. But after the software change the cars average has been hit big time where in the car's average from 18 km/ltr has dipped to 11.5km/ltr. Below is the mails exchanged and tests run by the company for average testing. Also on conversing with the Mr Negi he says that the cars average difference from previous is due to change in weather conditions and AC being on . a 6km/ltr average difference in a small car only due to AC??


I had bought this car for its average but that is a failure here.


KWID is a TOTAL FAILURE and so is RENAULT.

My name is Sourabh Agarwal, I am facing some issues with my Renault Kwid RXT 1.0 Ltr Manual Car.
I purchased the vehicle with my hard earned money on 19th Mar 2018. March 18 Model (Roughly 8 months back) from Renault, Unnati Vehicles, Fatimanagar, Pune.

Suddenly after 1.5 months, (810 Kms running only) my vehicle had a engine starting / ignition problem.
After inserting the key the car didnt start. Showed it to Renault Showroom / Service centre, they took the battery to check the issue, it took 10 days to rectify and then initially they said that there is no issue with battery as we have got the report from Amaron that battery is good. I said if battery is good then there is some manufacturing defect in the car, for which they didnt have any answer. Later after few more days, they said that the battery is charged now and fitted the same battery and still did not replace it. My question is if the battery was good then how it got discharged completely? And why they have to charge it all gain if its good?

2nd Problem:
Yesterday ie, 11 Nov[protected] kms running in 8 months), suddenly while driving, the steering of the car became very smooth or rather over smooth also the accelerator pedal became very smooth and the car was sppeding up like anything, suddenly the rpm increased.
How come these things can happen ?
I am worried and concerned for the safety and accidents can happen if the car steering and accelerator is becoming very smooth.

Kindly inspect my car properly and provide the solution. or else replace the car if its manufacturing defect. I am 100% sure its manufacturing defect.

People who are facing accelerator light blinking issue, kindly visit the nearest dealership asap. ECR tuning will be done. If the accelerator light keeps on blinking for long then u may face stalling issue.
