I HAVE RENAULT DUSTER WITH REGISTRATION NO DL4CAF 4413 IN NAME OF VARUN AGGARWAL PURCHASED FROM YOUR MOTI NAGAR SHOWROOM AT DELHI.FROM THE DAY WE PURCHASED CAR WE WERE HAVING PROBLEMS AND NO SATISFACTORY SOLUTION IS PROVIDED TILL DATE.WE WERE HAVING GEAR SHIFT PROBLEM FROM LAST TWO TO THREE MONTHS BUT NO ONE IS ATTENDING OUR PROBLEM AT YOUR SERVICE CENTRES.YOUR SERVICE EXECUTIVES DO NOT TRUST OUR WORDINGS IN GEAR SHIFT PROBLEM AND ASK FOR VIDEO PROOF OF PROBLEM IN GEAR SHIFT WHICH IS NOT POSSIBLE.THEY DRIVE THE CAR AND SAY THAT THEIR IS NO GEAR SHIFT PROBLEM BY DRIVING FEW METRES. THEIR IS PROBLEM IN GEAR SHIFT FROM 1ST GEAR TO 2ND GEAR MANY TIMES WHICH IS EVIDENT IN LONG DISTANCE DRIVING AND GEAR BECOME ROCKSTRONG WHEN WE CHANGE THE GEAR AND WE HAVE TO FORCEFULLY CHANGE THE GEAR FROM 1ST TO 2ND . WE VISITED YOUR SHOWROOM WITH THIS PROBLEM 3 TIMES BUT IN VAIN.WE ARE NOT GETTING THE RIGHT SERVICE FROM THE DAY WE PURCHASED THE CAR .WE HAVE NO EXTRA TIME TO VISIT YOUR SERVICE CENTRES AGAIN AND AGAIN.WE WERE HAVING CAR OF OTHER COMPANIES ALSO BUT THE SERVICE OF RENAULT IS FAR BELOW THEN POOR, i HAVE REMORSE THE WE PURCHASED YOUR DUSTER CAR.I REQUEST TO LOOK INTO THE MATTER IMMEDIATELY.

This is Vinay holding the car num -KA-51, MF-2830,
I am also having the gear shifting problem. when shifting the gear from 1st to 2nd it is annoying me in heavy traffic and slow moving areas.
i am keep on informing the problem to service centre every time i visit( Renault whitefield, Trident Auto Enterprises P LTD, Bangalore)
the issue is not yet fixed from last 2.5 years.

below are the steps taken by service team.

>> Clutch bleeding during 1st complaint
>> Replaced the clutch pedal during 2nd complaint
>> Replaced Clutch hydrallic (slave cylinder, master cylinder and clutch hoses) during 3rd complaint

I have a Duster 2015 RxE model, and i have been facing the same issue for a very long time. I stopped sending my vehicle to the Company workshop around 2019 when the service center people stole the MapMyIndia navigation system chip. I have got my servicing done from other workshops and none of them could resolve the issue. I was going through many threads on the subject and finally landed here. I have just today left my vehicle for servicing and I am going to inform the service center to replace the gear synchronizer ring. Hopefully, that will resolve the issue. Wish to talk to you to more about the renault service issues. THanks in advance

I have read the above post and I have the same issue. My Duster is registered under the name of Chandrmouli and the registration number is GJ23 AN 4123 (Bought March 2015 and 42000 KMS) I have complained to the Kamdar Renault Service department 4 times already that my vehicle gets stuck in the 1st gear and does not up-shift to 2nd gear.This commonly happens in areas like traffic stops where there is plenty of traffic and the possibility of getting rear ended is high. The people at Kamdar Renault have not addressed this issue and I have mentioned the same every time the car has been dropped for service. At the time of the last service, the costumer executive told that according to the expert of Kamdar Carz, I might not be depressing the clutch when changing the gear and hence might be having this problem. When I insisted that this is not my first car and I have enough decency no to complain when I am at fault he meekly asked me to get some video proof when it happens. Now this is where I felt annoyed. The Renault Showroom wants me to shoot a video of the problem before they address the issue instead of proactively giving a solution that does not compromise my safety. I guess the team at Kamdar Renault is waiting for the 50000 km warranty to expire before they fix this and charge me a heft amount of money. I am already looking to change my car and NEVER WILL BUY OR SUGGEST A RENAULT TO ANYBODY AGAIN.

I'm also having the same exact issue for my Duster. (KL-01 BR 3403). Couple of times, I opened service issue and the local service center team had my vehicle for around a week each time and still the same issue persists. This is too annoying and not expected, when you pay more than 10L for a vehicle and getting a basic issue that afects the driveability and not getting resolved.

Have anyone received solution to Duster gear change issue (1st to 2nd) ?. please update since I am also facing the same.
I bought Duster RxE petrol version in Dec, 16 from Gurgaon. Since then gear is giving problem. After visiting service center quite a few times, service center replaced the complete gear box. That's what they told me. After few days again gear is giving problem. It's very stiff and have lot of play and sounding a lot while gear shifting. Don't know what to do. I am regretting my decision of buying Renault car 😥. Can someone help please.

I am also having the same gear shifting issue problem. when shifting the gear from 1st to 2nd i feel hard and i have push the gears with more effort. it is annoying me in heavy traffic. and my paws are started to burn as i am frequently changing the hard gears in traffic. i have already given the car for service(last week of April 2017) to rectify the issue Khivraj Renault OMR. Chennai...they changed the clutch kit for 13 thousand rupees. also they informed me Slave cylinder and gear synchronize are changed under warranty. since the day i got my car back i feel only 80% of the issue is solved. as i am still feeling the hardness in shifting the gears from 1 to 2. after of couple of weeks i am facing the problem which has become severe again(15th may 2017)...i am not at all satisfied with this car. is there any technical solution to make the gear shifting smooth? please help..

I have renault duster 2013 model 85 ps rxe having reg no tn 09 bt 5316. I have the issue in gear shift even the first gear. And very difficult to shift to second. Other gears are ok. I raised the complaint in khivraj mount road service center.The service engineer took the trial. But he replied that its normal. Its wrong. I am facing the problem in making first gear. And the most important thing is my additional warranty expires in 8th june 2017. Before that it should be gotten repaired / service to normal condition. I would like to request renault to involve in this and do the needful immediately.

As explained earlier even I faced the same issue it was fixed by Renault white field service centre

I'm also facing similar of great shift from N to 1 or 1 to 2. Very disappointed with Renault that am facing this problem since 30k Kms.
In fact, even 2 weeks before also Whitefield Renault Centre recommended me to change clutch hydrallic after having the vechile for 4 days with them.
But, I wonder seriously, if gear synchroniser ring is the solution, y they haven't advised atleast the same from previous customer's lessons (Vinay P, Nov 20). I'm loosing trust on the solution given by service center.
I want to get rid of this problem with right solution rather than testing by replacing one after another parts.

I am also facing the same problem with my Duster ( KL23H 2601) While Shifting from 1st to second especially on heavy traffic, I have informed many times to service center during my regular services and they said they have checked and working fine and it's normal.Nowadays its giving lot of trouble with Gear and Clutches it's too tight and making noise while shifting gears I am planning to change my car since I am facing a lot of issues not at all happy to drive after my warranty expired it's started giving a lot of issues and expenses樂.

I am also facing the same problem with my Duster ( KA03MU7052) driven just 22K Km. While Shifting from 1st to second especially on heavy traffic, I have informed many times to service center during my regular services and they said they have checked and working fine and it's normal. I had not experienced any difficulty even tata indigo that casts half.Its disappointing the car from RENAULT can not design a proper gearbox and fooling customer. its my first and last car from RENAULT and never recommend any body.

Looks like I made biggest mistake by buying Renault Duster AMT diesel. Its 15 La vehicle but has started showing issues within just 2000k drive. Clutch burnout in the middle of the slow moving traffic, smell was so intense that we had to leave the vehicle in the middle of the road and run for cover. What kind of vehicle is this ? we call this SUV ? ghanta. my i10 ran for 8 years for 1.2La Kms without any issues.. Man what is this 15La for ? Anyway, looks like just like clutch we gave burnt our pocket as well.

I am facing this problem with my Renault duster from sometime. When used my car in traffic for long time, gear gets stuck in first gear and unable to shift to second at all. I dropped my vehicle in silkboard Bangalore for rectification. They changed the clutch pedal and clutch cylinder with warranty. I had already informed them that pretty sure this issue is not bcz of clutch bcz the issue is only with one perticular gear. However they delivered my car back. When I drive the next time for a long traffic journey the great is again getting stuck. I dropped car back in the service station. Now I get a call back song they are unable to trace the issue when they trial drive it. I clearly stated that issue replicates only when driven in long traffic for a longer journey but they are not ready to listen saying it will never repeat. I see in this forum that the issue with free other vehicles were resolved after replacing gear synchronizer ring. I am not sure why can't they refer to other vehicle history and replace the required parts than trying out replacing unnecessary parts.
Please help me with getting this issue resolved permanently than trial outs.
