SBI Card — Non refund of excess deduction | |||
I wrote to SBI Card ([protected]@sbicard.com) on 27/11/14 about an auto-deduction made by them even after I paid the required amount on 24/11/14. Even after 4-5 days, as promised by them in their auto-generated reply, they didn't even try to resolve it. Excuses made by them always include "We are currently undergoing system maintenance due to which you may get a delayed response from us. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please bear with us as we strive to serve you better in the coming days." etc. So I wrote to their nodal officer ([protected]@sbicard.com) who is their go-to man in case things don't work out at the lower level. But even after 2 days of writing to him nothing concrete is happening to my plea: " My SBI Card ([protected]) needed a payment of Rs. 8, 366.98 on or before 27th Nov. 14. My card has the option of auto debiting. Since I wasn't sure whether I'll have the required amount on the 27th Nov. I made a payment of Rs. 8, 367.00 on 24th Nov. 14. SBI intimated that they had received my payment on 27th Nov. 14. But SBI again deducted Rs. 8, 366.98 on the 27th Nov. In total I made a payment of Rs. 16733.98." I now implore SBI to refund me at the earliest.
