[Resolved] Shine.com — Complaint Regarding Calls asking for Payment for offering Jobs
Yesterday I updated my shine.com profile as I am looking now for suitable Job Opportunities for myself. Within a day of creating a profile (and without even applying for any Jobs), I have received calls from 3 agencies (Careermark is one of them) informing me that I have been shortlisted in some manufacturing company and to get through I have to make Rs. 2, 500.00 or 3, 500.00, whenever these people talk it seems that they are just reading my updated profile of shine.com and mentioning it as a JD for the offered Job. I have read similar complaints on this portal and have also read the Shine.com response, but isn't it shine.com's responsibility to make sure only authentic employers should have access to our Job Profile. Kindly advise further Course of action. Was this information helpful?
Oct 24, 2016 Complaint marked as Resolved Shine.com customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. Verified Support Sep 23, 2016 Shine.com Customer Care's response Dear Sir, Greetings from Shine.com. With reference to your comment, these days a lot of fake recruiters are calling the candidates using the name of reputed job portals and extract heavy money from them. We will like to clarify that we do not ask any money in the name of job. Please note that Shine.com is not responsible for, and expressly disclaims all liability for any such communication via email, SMS or phone call by a frivolous source claiming to have got the contact details of the concerned person through or representing Shine.com. Therefore jobs seekers are advised not to indulge in any monetary engagement with such sources in the name of guaranteed interviews with employers. Also, please note that time to time, we advertise this on our own newspaper Hindustan Times. Hence, we strongly advise you to immediately file a chargeback with bank and file an FIR against the particular recruiter or the person from whom you have received a call.
