[Resolved] Shine.com — Regarding a call from shine.com
Hi, I got a call yesterday, a lady who claims that she is calling from shine.com and she got my number through the registered database of the company. She told me that she would forward my resume to the 3 banks within kanpur location and if I get shortlisted, I would have to pay a chalan by depositing 2500 rs into the bank account. I tried to probe her as why would a bank charge money before recruitment? Then she kept on insisting me that I should deposit the money as it is refundable and only 150rs would be charged as a deductible amount. Today when she called at 10 am, she told that I am shortlisted for Axis bank. Wonder how could that be true, since she called me around 5:30 pm last evening! When I asked for her email id she gave a universal email id of shine.com which is listed under "contact us" section. To my surprise, when I asked her about her employee id, she got nervous, paused for some seconds and gave her id which is 0291. I want a strict action to be taken against such people who try to bluff the job seekers and charge money. Was this information helpful?
