This is regarding my order no 37583321 booked on 10/02/2015 and delivered on 17/02/2015. The product is a handheld massager, which when arrived was damaged and defective. Basically a useless piece neatly packed, parcelled and shipped. When i called up the customer service dept on 21/02/2015 to book a complaint about the product, it was yet another horrible experience, Firstly the reps dont speak english and even if they did i could hardly understand what they were trying to say. FInally i kida understood that im supposed to be raising a return request on their website when an email and a call will not suffice. OK hell with that, i tried booking a return on their technically lame site. For some reason at the point where it asked me to upload images, it just wouldnt take any. Tried and tried and tried and it was never ending.(other customers have complained of the same issue in this site) i did everything i could possibly do. I sent them an email explaining them the issue and sent the pics attached with the mail, but as one would expect, there was no respose. Later, the next evening i called up to find out if there was an issue with their website and explained to the agent about the entire shabang from the beginning. He thought i must be using oversized images and asked me to confirm the sizes. I checked and told him it was 3 and 4mb. He said anything above 5 mb will fail the upload. so according to his dumb judgement, my files were within the limit. But my never ending tries kept going that night too but then i realised may be the site accepts files way too small than what the guy told me. So i shrunk the size to KB's and tried, waahla ! it worked !. so now i was asked to wait for 48 hours. Not just recieving a damged product was getting to my head, but having to wait to return and the countless efforts to complete the process was driving me crazy already. After shooting a few emails to the never responding email account, on 5/03/2015 i recived an email stating that my return cannot be processed because i have booked the request after a 2 day period. This was the shock of my life. I told the crack on the other end, every time i called the IVR kept telling me that i covered under the 'buyer protection program' which meant im entitled for a coverage and total replacement if the shipped product is of a Wrong Size, Wrong Color, Wrong Style, Wrong Quantity, Missing Parts/Accessories, Defective, Dead On Arrival, Damaged, Or Significantly different from the description given by the merchant (attached is a screen shot) i quoted this and also the return polcies which state the same, any product can be returned within a 10 day period which falls under one or the other criteria mentioned above. I was only loosing my patience to him and frustration started peaking up. He kept on saying that i have to report the issue within 2 days, So i asked him what about the policies that talk about a 10 day return period. He had no answers to that. Disappointed and dejected, realising that im being conned, i hung up the phone and wrote a stern feedback and send countless feeback mails for which, as expected, never got a reply. A few days back on 8/03/2015 i called back and asked for a supervior, spoke to a lady, gave a gist of the issue and asked her pass on the phone to a higher authority. Akrithi who claimed to be a supervisor came online and i had to do the rigmarole. surprisingly akriti had no answers to any of my questions and accepted that the policies state what i was demanding and the lines mentioned in the bottom end contradict the very stem of the provision. She said she will do her best to get this resolved and assured me a response within a 2 day wait period. Yesterday 10/03/2015 i recieved an email stating nothing different, but a copy paste of the old email that they had send me ' your return request could not be accepted'. My question is this. Do you expect a customer to keep his front and rear shut when you send sh** in a box ?? Does shopclues think that they can get away with cheating peoples money ?? I was not available the few days following the delivery as my mother-in-law was admitted in the hospital. Do you think my first priority was calling your [censored]g company ?? and not attending to people in the family. The product was intended to be a gift to someone and that someone came back saying the item is damged. what a shame. Just because theres no governing rules for e-com websites don't think that you are not within the books. What you are doing is fraudulence and an act of perjury under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 191, 415, 416, 417, 420, 425. This is my last attempt to see if my issue will be resolved. I demand an explanation to the misleading attitude of shopclues and the willfull intention to cause loss of money, exploitation of time and emotional stress. I will proceed as per books if i do not get a proper resolution.
