[Resolved]  Sony India — Company not providing warranty for screen damage though it was not a accident or phone dropped

Hi, The issue is that i had brought a Sony Z ultra phone from sangeetha store which is a authorised Sony outlet. This phone was brought on 15/March/2014. Recently the phoe has a scrach on the screen due to which the touch screen does not work. When i approached the Sony service centre in Indranagar(Bangalore) they denied to service my phone as the service centre claims that the phone is damaged and the screen/display damage cannot be fixed. I did inform them that the phone was not dropped or meet with any accident. The manager at the service centre says the display could have been damaged because i should have kept the same in my pocket or due to sum pressure the display might not work. The service center did not fix the phone though there is a warranty on the phone for the next 4 months. Insteard they asked me to pay 10, 450 to get a refurbished phone or pay 18, 000 to fix the phone display for the same phone. They also gave me another option to purchase a new phone with 20% discount. I was cornered to pay 10, 450 to get a refurbished phone. I had to pay 10, 450 without any other option. I did pay 42, 000 when i brought this phone and i got a warranty of 1year on this product assuming that sony will fix any problem that relates to the phone atleast during the warranty period. But sony service center is only trying to collect more and more money for the same product. Please help me get the payment that i made in the amount of rs10, 450 back to me as sony should fix or replace my phone because i still have the warranty active.
