I have purchased a SONY LED TV model KLV40R452A, SERIAL NO.4306235 on 2.9.2013 from M/s.QRS Kozhikode and the TV is under original warranty of 1 year and extended warranty of 2 years. The TV went faulty about one month back and upon registering a complaint through the TV dealer M/s QRS, a technician from M/s.SONY turned out for repair. He did diagnise the problem with the TV switch and removed it (It is learned that this complaint is now common with this TV). Now the TV works on remote only. The technician asked for original invoice of the TV. I have shown him the extended warranty invoice and told that the original invoice is misplaced and I will trace it out and give it to him. Later on I have traced the original invoice and contacted the local SONYservice centre to replace the switch taken by them. I am told that my complaint is closed since I have not shown the original invoice to the technician. Please note that I am having the original invoice, warranty card, extended warranty for 2 years and non replacement of the TV switch is certainly a deficiency in service.
