[Resolved] Sony India — Sony LED TV out of order | |||
Sir, I purchased a Sony LED TV (Model Name KLV-40EX430 IN5, Serial No.3305502) from CROMA Ground Floor, KENCES Towers, No.1, Ramakrishnan Street, North Usman Rd, T.Nagar Chennai-600017 vide Invoice No.SLF02A[protected] dated 30.5.2013 and as given in the Product Information, the TV's warranty is valid upto July 2014. Suddenly on 12th Feb. 2014, the said TV went out of order, the screen was black & blank and nothing was functioning. We lodged a complaint to the customer care (Toll Free No.[protected]and the complaint no. is 17827. One Mr. Santosh from the nearest Service Centre attended the complaint and informed that the Board was not functioning and had to be replaced. On persistent chasing, we were told that the defaulted part (board) had to come from Delhi and hence the delay. Later, on gentleman came with the fresh Board to replace the old faulty board, but to our dismay that Board was also not working. When contacted the customer care again, they informed that the board needs to be imported from Singapore, with the result that the complaint is still pending even after a period of 20 days. Since it is already over 20 days, if the complaint is not successfully settled and set the TV in proper working condition within one week (after replacing the mother board with a fresh new one), I will approach the Consumer Forum to settle the issue seeking a replacement warranty.
