I had bought a Sony Xperia ZL on 2/2/2014. The Set used to get switched off frequently. I took it to the Sony Service Center (Address: Teknoplaza CD - 96, Salt Lake - 700064, Kolkata.) on 4th November 2014. Job Id: W[protected]. The Service Center issued the Job id under Out Warranty category in spite of my Set being under warranty. Later they issued another JOB ID: W[protected] on 7th November 2014. This was intimated to me via Mobile SMS in my no: [protected]. I was not issued any fresh Job sheet.
On 17th November I had called the Service Center to enquire about the status of my Phone. They asked me if I would accept a set of Xperia Z as Xperia ZL is out of stock. I had agreed to the same. On 20th November I was intimated through SMS that the replacement of my set is ready to be taken. Today i.e. 24th of November I went to the Service Center to collect the replacement of my set. I was given a Republished Xperia ZL whose body was broken from one corner and had a chemical patch on the back cover. I did not accept the Set. They said they will take 10 more days for a new replacement set. They also added that even then I will get a Republished set and not a new, sealed set.
My complaint is that why am I being given an used and republished set, that too whose body is damaged instead of a new, sealed Set of Xperia ZL.as replacement for my defective set of Xperia ZL which is in Warranty period. I appeal for the redressal of my complaint at the earliest.
