[Resolved]  Spice Jet Airlines — Sector Change from high tariff to low one due to flight cancellation without refund

I had booked flight from Dharamshala to Delhi and connecting flight from Delhi to Mumbai on 11 June 2014. However, the flight from Dharamshala to Delhi was not operated due to technical reasons. The passengers were moved to another sector Amritsar to Mumbai for 12 June 2014. I was surprised that this was done without cancelling the old ticket and rebooking on a new sector which otherwise would have resulted for a credit to me on account of fare difference as the Amritsar flight was at a lower cost of approx 12, 000/- whereas for the Dharamshala - Mumbai I had paid a base fare of 16, 799/- per passenger. Apart from this the passengers paid for the travel to Amritsar and accommodation in Amritsar.
