[Resolved] Standard Chartered Bank — Unnecessary interest charges | |||
I am holding a credit card of Standard chartered bank no. [protected] I received statement of last month having a big interest amount on it. I used the card for a hospital bill and made the payment too before the last working day. I tried paying the same initially online but it was showing error while paying due to which I could not able to make the payment and paid the whole amount by cash. Unfortunately only Rs. 1000/- was left paying out of 60000. I am surprised to see that there are such high interest charged on that 1000/- and after checking the reply was that the interest will be charged on whole amount. I am really surprised by the kind of policy these guys have. They have charged interest on the amount which I have already paid to them before time. They encourage the customers to use their credit card and when customer are using and paying on time then too just for 1000/- bugs they are penalizing the customer with such a heavy charge. The same was not expected from such a reputed bank. I would like to request you to help me get these unnecessary interest removed. Looking forward for your support. I have submitted my request on the mentioned link the reference no is #CTQT7PN7ZP. Awaiting for a positive revert from your end on urgent basis as the due date is very near and incase of non-payment you guys will again charge interest on the whole amount. Which will again result in a bad experience.
