[Resolved]  Strategic Services — Stanley Rao from Shubhakar Rao | Cheater Fraud

Address:Bangalore, Karnataka

Excerpts: from: https://www.facebook.com/maheshmurthy/posts/[protected]

Subhakar Rao Exposed; Tries to bribe; Fake companies Strategic Services; Span Outsourcing; Champions Group ; Bangalore has become a place of thugs and authorities do nothing about it.. Read on... and see ho his chamchas come to save him..Lol

I wrote about a gent from Bangalore who seems to be on the lam from the US cops, and is trying to create a second life based on pretences: @ Stanley Rao S or, one of his many other names or IDs he uses on Facebook and elsewhere: Subhakar Rao Surapaneni or Subhakar Rao .

And he responded on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/maheshmurthy/posts/[protected]
basically saying it was much ado about nothing, that he had a small violation he paid the price fully for and could we all please leave him alone to make money.

Here's my response:
Dear Subhakar Rao or Stanley or Surapaneni or Sam whatever your name is currently, I don't know you from Adam, but the facts seem to show that you're about your past again.

Your blog that you pointed me to claims "a single count of violation" but the truth seems something else. The terms of your sentence for illegal trafficking in humans talked of a $450, 000 fine that you may have paid, and 6 months in jail suspended for 3 years if you went through court-ordered monitoring, which you most certainly did not serve.

In fact, your court-ordered monitor is on record saying you escaped the country on a concocted and entirely fraudulent court order, which is a far greater crime, for which you haven't been prosecuted and sentenced yet, perhaps because you skipped the country. So, as far as the facts suggest, you're still a fugitive from US justice.
You then come back to my piece a second time and again say your case is similar to Devayani Khobragade, and here again you lie.
She did not indulge in illegal trafficking of 68 or more people living in squalid circumstances. She did not run from US justice. She did not send spam to hundreds of millions of email addresses, she did not continually shape-shift and lie to spam-filtering authorities about her identity and she most certainly did not sell junk email addresses to US clients and pass them off as valuable trade show attendee lists.
And then you go on to claim we should let you be and continue to make money, as there is enough for everybody.

Dude, I'm no competitor of yours and have no interest in restricting or growing your business. My only task was to point out that, based on the information I've gotten from people who have worked with you, that you're a lying, name-changing fugitive from US laws, trying to pass yourself off again and again as somebody who you are not.
That's about it.
Have a nice day.
Cheers.

Mahesh Murthy
After my piece on name-changing American-Indian fraudster Ajai Thomas / Mathew Thomas / Mathew Martoma, alert readers sent me what seems to be a similar example, this time an Indian who is living and working in Bangalore currently.

Caveat: I know nothing about this person other than what Google searches give me, but there seems to be an interesting story of a man called, variously, Stanley Rao or Subhakar Rao or Stanley Surapaneni or Sam Surapaneni or various other combinations of these words. It appears he's also on Facebook, as Stanley Rao S and appears to run a company called https://www.facebook.com/CHAMPIONSGROUP and his earlier operations called, among 20 other names, Data Champions and EmailAppenders.

About 15 years ago, this gent apparently ran a boiler room shop exporting people to the US, not paying them promised salaries and forcing them to live in squalid conditions, including cases of 68 people brought in by him under false visa declarations.

For this, he was sentenced in the US to 6 months in prison, 3 years in probation and a fine of $450, 000. No issues if he went through with the sentence, but our man apparently didn't. He apparently produced a fake court order from a non-existent court in the US, and skipped town and ran back to Bangalore. It is doubtful if he can set foot again in the US without being arrested. Apparently he was also earlier apprehended when he landed in the US carrying much more cash than he declared.

More to that story here: http://www.spamhaus.org/…/…/media-warrant-for-sam-surapaneni

But after coming back to India, he didn't exactly reform his ways. He started 20-odd businesses, and became one of the world's more notorious email spammers, and one of the bigger ones from India - where his business was not just to send millions of pieces o[censored]nsolicited mail, but to also sell junk databases of email addresses to clients which were fraudulently claimed as high-value business databases.

Here's SpamHaus' story about this in its "Register Of Known Spam Operations": http://www.spamhaus.org/…/data-champions-sloan-ma…/main-info

So, after Spamhaus and other filters blocked these efforts, he has apparently re-invented himself as an online marketer in Bangalore and a self-professed philanthropist, though efforts to find his actual social impact activities here haven't yet borne fruit.

The icing on the cake is that this gent was apparently the "Keynote Speaker" at TF&MA's Marketing Summit in Bangalore and is a self-professed "digital guru".

Here's a video of his: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78DhFqwZDvY

And if you're interested in antecedents, he clams to be from Vijayawada, and a graduate of BITS, Pilani.

What's interesting is this, it was easier in the non-connected pre-social media age to run, hide, switch identities and be the chameleon.

It's that much harder now. I have no idea if the gent is guilty of any of these allegations - after all, I have is just a set of messages from people who knew him and Google search results, but it'll be interesting to see what he does next, after this piece is published here.

Can chameleons exist in this near-transparent world?

Hemant Uchil Hey Mahesh, good stuff exposing the small fry. How about we show the power of social networking by now going after the BIG, slimy fish who in a different country would be behind bars instead of buying IPL players for obscene amounts: http://news.oneindia.in/.../kingfisher-airlines-women...

Mahesh Murthy Oh Subhakar Rao you turned up here too? Against selling me your phone number? I'm not interested, dude. And about your "thousands of happy staff" - how many of them have you screwed over by stuffing them 18-to-an-apartment, while charging $600 a month for them?
