Tata Docomo — Bad customer terrible network service and misleading guidance

I have been using Tata Docomo for the past about a year. I had been taking the Rs. 899 unlimited talk-time and few other add-on services. Things were pretty decent(not good, just decent) until lately the network degraded terribly. They had a 2G Internet Service which was already so bad and now it's become even worse. I used to have full network coverage in my house and guess what, from the past two days I have practically ZERO network coverage here. Can you imagine, you are at home and you have no cellular connection to the outside world, no one can reach you unless you have another number with some other provider or some wifi internet connection. If I'm travelling from one part to the other part of Kolkata while talking, I bet the phone will definitely hang up over four to five times. Salt Lake Sector V, One of the biggest Technology Hub here, there are several places there that does not have good Tata Docomo network coverage.

My number '[protected]' is really old. I have been using this number previously with Uninor and since Uninor stopped I switched to Tata Docomo prepaid and later to Postpaid. So this number is very important for me.

Anyway, about their customer service, I had been trying to Port out to some other provider. I have tried twice or thrice with Vodafone and twice with Airtel continuously. The whole process was so frustrating. At first when I tried with Vodafone, I thought it could be any one's fault. But when I tried with Airtel, my doubts were clear. Worst part is when I call their Customer Service, they sometime told that it's a long process so it will get converted soon OR it's the other provider's fault. It can be easily understood that either they don't know what they are talking about or they are not taking the issue seriously. Everytime I call them, I feel like it's a waste of time.

I would really appreciate it if I could get help regarding this Port Out to Airtel. I'm really frustrated with their services and definitely this time I'm not going to pay my bill anymore. I don't really care what they do.

I'm waiting for any assistance... Please help.
