[Resolved] Tata Docomo — Continued Billing even after discontinuance of services | |||
My Account No. is[protected] and Connection No. [protected]. I had activated a plan of 950Rs. which is a postpaid account and have used its services till February 2014. Since I was shifting to Chennai on a professional assignment I had requested the Customer service at least 4-5 times to deactivate and close the account. I paid my dues of Rs.2472 on 28th February by Cheque No.710474 drawn on SBI, Chennai hoping that they would close my account finally. To my utter shock and disbelief, they kept on generating my bills even though the usage was 0 ( nil ). I told the Customer Service guys following up that I had already paid my dues and had requested for closure so many times. Then on 18th June, an advocate from Delhi, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Varma ( Cell No.[protected] ) calls up and says if you don't pay up ( Rs. 3011 ) in the next 1 hour, an arrest warrant will be issued in your name. I was shocked..was he joking? I argued with him and gave him all details and told him that I had not used their services from February and they have suspended the same as per their letter. How can you keep on charging? He insisted and said if I dont pay, be ready to face the police. And if you pay, you will get the full and final settlement letter within 7 days. To save myself from further agony, I paid immediately online ( Transaction reference No. MSMP[protected] ) on 18th June same day. Neither did I receive the settlement letter nor was there a call from Mr. Verma. Yesterday, I was shocked to get a message on my cell from Tata DoCoMo that the Bill for July had been generated for a Rs. 1062 and the due date was 3rd Aug. What is this happening! Is it a joke ? The Company has been fraudulently billing me for services I was no longer using, and through intidimatory tactics extorting money from me. I am not the only person who thinks they are fraud, there are so many others. You shouldn't be stealing money from valuable customers like this. I haven't even used their service since last six months, my data usage is 0. I have cleared the amount and now I'll see to it that no one from my circle ever uses your service again. Enough is enough, unless I get a full and final settlement letter immediately, I reserve the right to file a legal suit and claim compensation from February onwards.
