Tata Docomo — Poor service and misrepresentation of facts | |||||
I Applied for a Tataphoton USB on 8th December 2014. The connection worked well till April 2015. From April onward, service was absolutely slow and kept going off every two minutes even though I was working on the internet, so had to keep on reconnecting every two minutes. When I spoke to Tata Docomo customer service, I was told a building had come up near their tower which was obstructing signals but the issue would be resolved in a month's time. This never happened until in desperation, I asked Tata Docomo to disconnect/dectivate my service with immediate effect, this was around May/June 2015 as per advice from Tata Docomo Whitefield office, when I had gone to settle the previous bill. Customer service accepted my request over the phone, but kept on charging me for service that was non-existent. I had stopped using the tataphoton by several weeks then. Since they had not honoured my verbal instruction, I finally went to the Whitefield office and had the photon deactivated. Also asked if there was any outstanding payment. The lady at the office checked and told me there was none. Finally, after several weeks, I received cancellation confirmations via Ref:[protected]. When I kept getting charges for non usage, I called customer service to check their database and correct this error, which they promised to do, They too confirmed there was no outstanding and no usage had happened since settlement of my last bill. But I kept on receiving reminders and now I've received a lawyer's notice questioning my integrity and threatening that credit verification agencies will be sent to collect! Who has breached the trust? Tatadocomo or me? The amount payable is only Rs.842/-, but it is time Companies like Tata Docomo, founded by a stalwart like Ratan Tata, behave ethically. Just because you are a large company does not mean that you can bulldoze individual customers. I want this situation addressed with integrity and ethically. Why didn't they action my deactivation request immediately? So it could accrue a paltry sum of Rs.842 and then threaten me? Am I at fault for your inefficiency? Please train your customer service and other staff to be more truthful and act with integrity. Was this information helpful? | |||||
