TATA Powers — Tata power is not transferring the electricity meter even after providing the necessary documents

Subuject : Reliance Light Bill transfer in the name of Mr.MillRoy L Pereira without a proper documents and proper Verification for Reliance Energy consumer no –[protected] and then was transferred to Tata Energy consumer no –[protected]. I Mr.Edward John pereira residing at 4/4, Esparance Lodge, Kirol village Ghatkopar West Nr. Gaondevi mandir would like to complaint about the fraud transfer of light bill done against my residence. I have been living in this said address since the time the building was constructed. It has been more than 40 years that I have been living in this room. I have all the necessary documents to get the light bill transferred under my name. I have got my Addhaar card, Pan card, Ration Card under my name since I have been living there for more than 40 years. The building belongs to four brothers and I am a legal heir of this building too as my name appears on the Municiple Tax bill and also on Index II. My complaint is against Reliance Energy for having transferred my electricity meter to Mr.Millroy L Pereira who is not residing in my Flat. He has not taken the necessary NOC from us to transfer the name under his name. Nor does he have necessary documents to transfer the Electricity meter to his name. This is fraud as Reliance Energy has transferred my Electricity Meter to Mr.Millroys name. I would therefore please request you to look into this matter. As no proper verification method has been followed by Reliance Energy or Mr. Millroy might have produced false documents to transfer the said Electricity Meter to his name. It is Reliance Energy’s duty to perform a proper legal check before they could transfer the Electricity meter to a consumer’s name. This smart person Mr. Millroy got the Reliance Electricity Meter transfer to Tata Power. So I complaint TATA Power about it as they have My Meter transferred to them. They said I need to contact Reliance Energy for change of name as the documents were sent by Reliance Energy. Tata Power also advised me to get a NOC from Mr.Millroy to get the name transferred. I was shocked to hear that I need to get an NOC from a person who does not leave in my Flat and that the Meter actually belongs to me as I am using it. So I approached Reliance and they said that the connection has been transferred to TATA Power and so need to approach them. Well I am a Sr.Citizen and at this age I am getting a run around to get a justice. I approached both companies and I showed all my necessary documents however they did not listen to me as both companies do not care if the documents are right as you know they don’t want to admit their fault. Please help me to resolve this issue. I am willing to come to police station to verify and I am sure Mr.Millroy L Pereira would be behind bars for fraud case if he has produced false documents.
