Tata Sky — Compulsion to pay additional amount for unwanted channels

On 21st April 2015, my Dad, received a call on home landline from Tata sky customer care. He told him quickly about the additional HD channels activation with minimal amount offer on previous package. HBO Premium Channels Pack (30Rs) + Star World Premiere (20Rs). My Dad told customer care person that we don't need this offer and if he still wants to convince then call my daughter (that's me) when i will return from office. But that person just went ahead with this conversation and activated the channels and added the additional monthly charges to next month's bill. Further the 1 month period to use these channels was blocked so that no one can change it or revise. I further received SMS about this change in bill on same day. At late evening when i returned home i called up customer care post listening to what Dad conveyed to me. The person told me that now this package is locked and cannot be revised and i have to pay the additional charge of 50 this month. I asked him to talk to seniors and get this revised but he showed as if this cant be changed any how. He asked to lodge complaint through website or via sending an email and asked to call after 20th May (post 1 month's excessive bill payment). This is just not acceptable. I told him repeatedly that when my Dad refused to get these channels and i am on same day asking them to block these channels they didnt bothered to accept their mistake. The person kept on saying that whoever called at my home must have got confirmation and which is always recorded. I asked him to listen to that conversation but he said it is done only when complaint is lodged and they can listen what i am talking to him. I told him that why should i pay for what i dont want to see and i didnt opt. this is compulsion to grab money from all possible sources. Also these people dont have their shops where you can go talk to them and lodge complaint. As that person told me i wen to their website but didnt find any link to lodge complaint. I also forgot the email id that person told me. I called them again (the line connection to customer care is nightmare as it takes long time to connect) to put a request to change the contact number so that next time they wont contact at my home and directly will call at my mobile but for that also they put me on hold to connect to some other dept but after sometime call got disconnected. On my immediate second call to them the 2nd person didn't even listened to this havoc and just disconnected the phone. This is simply ridiculous. Let me know please to whom should i reach out to escalate this on very serious note. This is cheating and these people are taking customer for granted. I am not going to pay single rupee over and above my regular package amount but at the same time the connection should be active or these over smart people will not recharge it properly unless the additional bonus amount they want from customer.

I have often added few channels for a month or two. And what I understand that if you add a channel on say 18th Apr then you can drop that channel only after one month i.e. on or after 17th May. But @mid night it will cut the pay for next month, so end up paying for two months even if you see channel only for one month. I often call customer representative and ad ask them to schedule a auto drop thereby avoiding paying extra. But this is so hassle full. I mean why cannot I just drop a channel and Tata sky continue to show them till the end of that month and then auto shut that on drop request set??
