Tata Sky — LessUse Tata Sky Miserable Services in repairing HD Box

"Greetings from Tata Sky. Your Work Order reference number is FEWTBQG. You will receive a call from us within 24hrs". This was the message that I got on 26-Oct-2014 at 15:09 hrs. After one hour or so, I got a call from Tata Sky person enquiring about the problem that we face. I explained the problem in detail that my HD Box was not responding to the remote and became silent without even blinking either red light or green light. One of the Technician visited our house the next day i.e. 27-Oct-2014 and taken away the HD Box assuring that it would be replaced in one day with another one on charge of INR 500/- as it was not under warranty. In fact the same box was repaired by Tata Sky 8 months ago. On 28th Oct 2014, I called Tata Sky help line and enquired about the status of my HDBox replacement. They said my request was cancelled as the problem was already rectified. I was shocked. Naturally, I argued with them for their dereliction of duties. Then I with a wrong hope I escalated to their senior / Lead in TataSky. The moment he picked up the phone, he keeps on telling sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. I said it is okay but let me get my HD Box. He assured within 2 hours it will be done. I waited the whole day. No response. Again I called Tata Sky helpline/customer care centre. The poor guys are helpless. Again I escalated to their senior. Same sorry. I said be sorry for yourself and TataSky. Get me my box. They said again my request was cancelled and a fresh compliant was registered. I left it to their discretion. After two days i.e. on 30th Oct 2014, I called them to ascertain the reasons for not getting the problem resolved. They said boxes are not available. How shameful? Only for one HD Box they keep me waited for 5 days. I said where are you? If I place order in Flipkart or Amazon, I used to get the parcel in one day. What are you saying? Having a good network across the country, TataSky has utterly failed to get one HD Box. Then I said I cannot wait any more. Arange for a standby. At last, they could arrange a standby on assurance of giving back my HDBox within 2 days. Again I called them on 2nd Nov to know the update. Surprisingly, they informed that your complaint was cancelled and again I need to register a fresh complaint. I lost my temper and shouted on them. I think they are very well trained in all these matters. Fantastic Training in TataSky in maintaining calm and peace. No reaction. Simply asked me to register fresh complaint. I did so. Again I called on 3rd Nov. This time I expected a weird reply from them. As expected, they gave me a shock saying as per my advice, my complaint was kept on hold for 15 days. I asked them can you please play back my call log? They said no, as per "SYSTEM", it is showing that you asked us to keep the complaint on hold for 15 days. I could not understand what to do!!! I asked them with folded hands to take back my connection and I am ready to return TataSky. Then the Executive (Customer Care) said, he does not know the procedure as how to take back the connection but assured me that he would call me back on this issue. Very sincere TataSky employee. On 4th Nov 2014, I called the Technician on his phone number ( instead of calling "less-use" Customer Care Centre) and checked the status. He informed offline the fact that there was no stock of any HD Box and it is not for the first time that they face the issue in TataSky and the people at TataSky wantonly do the same thing. Immediately I called the TataSky CC and asked about an update. This time I talked to them very politely. Then they said the complete history of my calls and what had happened to this issue. As they are unable to get my HD Box repaired, they played all these games / gimmicks / tactics. Knowingly they cancelled all my complaints as they had a mandate of resolving the customer complaints within 24 hours. As they failed to do, they simply cancel the requests and take the complaints afresh. Anyhow, we call them after waiting for 24-48 hours. Then they register the complaint afresh. That is how the TataSky functions and treats its customers. If this continues, days are not far off to shut down their businesses. Please help Tatasky!!! My work order reference FEWTBQG.
