Tata Sky — Tata Sky not providing proper acknowledgement for payment received from Customer and charging excess to customers

I am a premium user for Tata Sky with three HD connections. I am a annual subscriber and pay the fees upfront in advance for the full year. When I bought the third connection(HD Recordable) in May 2015 I paid the full amount of Rs.8500/- upfront in cash on May 16, 2015, which included: 1. Cost of new HD Recordable Set Top Box, 2. Annual subscription for Mega HD Pack for all three connections 3. Karaoke annual subscription Rs.1, 300 In addition to the above Rs.8, 500/- I also paid in cash an amount of Rs.500/- for extra cabling of new HD Recordable connection. All these amounts were paid to one gentleman named Mr.Ajay Yadav. Despite my repeated requests, I was not given a proper Receipt detailing the break-up of amounts paid by me and the period covered. I was informed verbally about the break up of amounts paid by me which I noted down in a dairy. THE REAL ISSUE: When I started my Karaoke channel (Channel no.651) on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 my Set Top Box displayed a message "THERE ARE NO SONG PACKS AVAILABLE ON YOUR STB". Upon calling the Tata Sky Helpline to resolve the Karaoke issue I was told that a person with technical expertise would visit my home next day at 10am and resolve the issue. wen the person did not come I called up the helpline again and I was told that I have not paid the Karaoke subscription money for the full year. I still have no idea that what the Rs.1300/- I paid was for! There was no proper explanation provided to me for the amounts paid by me. In absence of any documentation I am still unclear as to what is paid for and what is unpaid. This type of dealing by a reputed company like Tata Sky is extremely unprofessional and I feel CHEATED for whatever I have paid so far. May I request that a Public Interest Litigation be filed against the company so that many other small customers like do not get cheated again.

There might be a discrepancy with the dealer. Call official Tata Sky on their Toll Free Number at[protected] or write to them [protected]@tatasky.com. they will assist you in generating a bill and providing you the subscription details and due date.
