Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company [TSSPDCL] — Concerns with revised electricity tariffs

Hi,

I have consumed 237 units of electricity in july. As per the revised tariffs, if total units consumed are 200, following rates are applicable.

0-200 — rs. 5/unit
200-300 — rs. 7.20/unit

So, my bill has become rs.1266.

Whereas if it is < 200,
0-100 units — rs 3.30 per unit
101-200 units — rs 4.30 per unit

If i consume just 200 units my bill would have become 760 instead of rs.1266. Additional consumption of just 37 units resulted in rs.500 charge. I have a concern if this is legitimate?

There is an other complaint here. My bill was calculated for 32 days which is 30. And because of those additional 2 days, there is a chance of additional 32 units which resulted in addition 500 bill.

I would like to ask electricity department to reconsider these changes while they were on pro-rata basis in other states.
