The Mobile Store — Non Delivery of the Product, No accurate update (17 days and counting)

I ordered a Micromax Mobile from the Mobile Store online website. The purchase was paid for by credit card. The account was debited instantly. At the time of purchase, the order placing screen assured me of a 3 - 5 working day delivery time frame. Given the order was placed on the 14th October, 2014 I expected the same in a weeks time. It has been 17 days and counting, but still no product. I called the mobile store to enquire on the status of the delivery after 7 days and was informed that the product was out of stock and I would have to wait till stock arrived for it to be shipped. Later that day, I received an email from the Mobile store stating that the product was back in stock and there was a link from where I could place the order. The website confirmed that the product was in stock and accepting orders. I called customer service the next day and was informed that the product would be delivered in the next 3 - 5 days. I received a confirmation call from the Mobile store 1 day later confirming my order and that delivery will happen shortly. I spoke to the team once again yesterday (16 days since the order was placed), apart from the rude demeanor of the agents and being hung up on, the supervisor came online to inform me that the product has not yet been shipped, it was out of stock, the website was still taking additional orders for the product and I need to wait an additional 3 - 5 business days for dispatch post which delivery will take as long as required. I need help to ensure that this inefficiency of operations doesn't go unpunished. Not only is it a great inconvenience to the customers, it is also a financial burden without having receive any goods / services in return and further, it sets the wrong precedent for the online industry which is picking up in the country at the moment an has great potential for both buyers and sellers alike.

The Mobile store called me two days ago to inform me that the order is confirmed and that i have to wait 10 days to know when they will receive stock on the product. Further I was told that the delivery time-frame can't be confirmed till they have stock. What is even more interesting is that the mobile store continue to take orders for this product online. When I pointed this out to the representative that called me and also cited that the phone is in stock in the stores, I was informed that they can't reallocate stock between online and store and I will have to wait till the online department received stock. I also received an offer to cancel the order and bear the interest rate charged to me by my credit card company. I have declined to cancel the order. I sincerely wish someone would help pull these guys up for the poor work and business ethic being displayed by the Mobile Store!!
