[Resolved]  Trai — repeatedly charging for not asked for services

This is to bring to your knowledge and record that my phone no[protected] was availing your telephone services for more than a year. During this time, thrice the internet service was started on it without my knowledge and any request from my side. This was complaint to at your customer care and was fought hard to get the reversal of charges levied on it.In spite of my constant requests to your customer care not to start the internet services on this No. at any cost, and in writing given to your office at sec22 Chandigarh at the time of purchase of this No., no heed seems to have been taken on the matter. As approximately every three to four months it gets started automatically and we are asked to pay a hefty amount.Even technically the person can not be aware of internet services are on his phone if he is using wifi . Moreover when the services are categorically stopped by a customer and no request for the same to start has been given, how is a customer liable to pay for it .If your company has any proof of any type for the request to start the services given by me please show it to us.This has been a perpetual nuisance since I got this no. a year back .Similar problem was faced by me on my other no[protected] . I being your happy customer for more than 8 years started facing the similar problem for last one and half year. So finally disappointed after many bouts of fights with your customer care, I had to port this no to some other service provider. The similar situation has cropped up with this no also.This situation is like a person gone to shop to buy a shirt and has made payment for the shirt but is forcefully handed over a pant also by the shopkeeper which he doesn’t want and is forced to pay for the pant also. If he doesn’t pay for his pant, the shirt will also be retained by the shopkeeper even though he had made the payment for the shirt.This is absolute bullying.Why should a customer pay for the thing which he has not asked for?I want to retain my no but do not want to pay for the unjustified billing as this is not ethical.Your customer care has been harsh in handling the case as you can verify from the last conversation recorded with your customer care executive.I have suffered huge losses due to the disconnection of the phone. Airtel is fully responsible for these losses. Kindly help and save from this unnecessary harassment caused due to no fault of mine.
