I have taken medical insurance (Canara HSBC insurance) and the same iz continued without any claim for the last 5years. As per the terms the insured is eligible for the reimbursement of medical check up expenses @1% fo insured amount . Accordingly I made a claim for the reimbursement of medical check up expenses .When I met the concerned at the Bangalore office they gave me a list of documents to be submitted. After I submitted again I received a letter informing me to send a blank cancelled cheque for making payment . since nothing is heard form them I mailed to the customer card of E Meditek (TPA) .I was replied after a long time that my claim comes under NO CLAIM. When I wanted to know the reasons they mentioned that I have to submit the claim free year certificate from the insurer.
But I was not informed when I met them and also in the subsequent letter that I have to submit the same
Further they mentioned the delay in submitting will hamper my claim. Actually they have delayed the reply and now saying that the delay will hamper In what way it is justified?
It is the habit of these TPA to always find one or the other reasons not to honour the claim by the consumers
I MUST SAY THAT THEY SEARCH REASONS FOR NOT HONOURING THE CLAIM.
MY SINCERE REQUEST TO ALL "PLEASE BE CAREFUL IN DEALING WITH THESE DONT BE A VICTIM
BETTER NOT TO TAKE THESE KIND OF POLICIES AND WASTE YOUR MONEY
