[Resolved]  Vodafone India — Activation of Post paid SIM

I would like to bring my complaint it to your kind attention, summarizing the total incident: I was a prepaid customer bearing mobile No.[protected] for the past 4 years, On 10 May I visited Vodafone Showroom SR Nagar to convert my prepaid to Post paid plan. I selected 399 Plan and rendered the necessary documents (Voter ID card etc), also paid the charges i.e. Rs.300. I was told that I would need to do a tele verification once I receive a SMS. I also did my tele verification on the same day and the executive confirmed that the tele verification was successful. While the SIM should have been activitated within couple of Hours after verficiation, but it did not happen. Again on Monday morning I did televerification once again for the same SIM, but nothing happened and waited for whole Monday. So on Tuesday (13 May 14)I called customer care ( spoke to Mr. Ahmed) where in he confirmed that Televerifcation is updated and all the details are updated but probably due to technical snag in SIM it is not getting activiated and asked me to visit Vodafone store. I was annoyed when hearing that and I said that I don't want to continue with Vodafone anymore. I called the SR Nagar executive from who I Purchased the new plan, but they did not pick up the call. Later they called me back and said that there is a problem in the SIM which was delivered to me, so requested me to go to nearest store and get a replacement of SIM. Since I was at office I could not go in the morning hours, I went to Madhapur Vodafone store at around 7.30 PM and collected a new SIM, and was advised that the SIM would get activated within an hour. I specifically asked if there is a any need for televerification, but the answer I received was "No need, as televerification was done already". Now I am writing this mail on Monday (14 May 14) 1100 hrs, still my SIM is not activated, Despite I made Televerification once again today morning. I again called the customer service [protected] ( which is chargable) and spoke to the customer care executive, he stated that televerification was not done or unsucessfull, so you need to do it again.. I am grossly surprised how many time I need to do a televerification, yesterday the Customer care executive said, , eveyrhtingis updated it was only a SIM issue, now again the other executive says that no verification was updated the records... I am totally disgusted, even after 5 days my SIM has not been activiated despite my 2 visits to Vodafone store and numerous calls to 117 and Customer care. with the technology in hand, do we need 5 days to activate a Post paid SIM even after furnishing genuine details. Forgot to mention even people from Vodafone have come to my house for Address verification also, still I am unable to use the new SIM. Please do the needful, I need my SIM working within couple of hours. Sorry to say ...I repent for being a Vodafone customer for 5 years..
